Car Typology

What is the difference between an SUV, an SUV Coupé, a Compact, a Sports Car and a Racing Car?

SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle): Vehicle that combines the features of a traditional passenger car with those of a larger vehicle.

SUV Coupé: They differ from a normal SUV through their more pronounced roof drop towards the boot, offering a lighter, sleeker and sportier profile, while maintaining the 5 doors.

Compact: Compact cars (also called C-segment cars) are mid-size, versatile cars that cover all kinds of needs. They are small enough to not give rise to too many manoeuvrability problems in the city and when parking and can cope with a long trip without problems. They can accommodate up to five adults and they have a reasonably large boot.

Sports Car: They encompass dynamic and high-performance vehicles. They offer the ideal balance between performance, practicality and comfort for everyday life.  CUPRA offers sports cars in its entire catalogue of models and bodywork.

Racing Car: A car with a powerful engine and wide wheels designed to be driven at high speed for taking part in races.
